From the capital of Namibia, Windhoek, to the Etosha National
Park located on the north Namibia, which is the No.2 wild animals
conservation area in the world too, there are 3 towns on the way-
Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Outjo. However, the distance between
two places is more than 600 km, it takes about 6 hours and half
of the route we passed by is ultimately isolated regions. Long
and endless road without any pedestrian is the most ordinary
scene you will see here.

(the map of Namibia)

After a approximately 200 km non-stop trip from Okahandja to
Outjo, we took a short break at Outjo cause of the tour guide
saw that there was a group of minority called Hinba sitting on
the curb.

(the long and endless road)

Excitement triggered the waves of curiosity, instantly, a sense
of enthusiasm deludged my body utterly. I dropped down the wagon
and tried to communicate with the Hinba child.

(the Hinba child I contingently met at Outjo)

You can hardly help yourself pressing the shutter on the camera
when you run into a gang of Hinba clan in Africa. On the moment
I picked up my red Nikon machine, I hesitated. We are all human
being with flesh, spirit and cerebration, how could I treat them
like they are some kind of exhibits? I was mired in the dilemma
of morality. I turned to the guide for help, at the meanwhile, one
of the Hinba women streched her hand and said "one hundred for
taking pictures" with a special african accent.

(Hinba women with their man-made crafts)

I pressed down the godamn button finally!
But I couldn't pretend that there was no mortification in my mind.
Their begging for money by taking photos as exchange also made
the sense of shame in me much deeper, even though the tour guide
told me they were used to it.

We always say that there is no caste in different races,
but we all know that this is just a vapor in real life.
And how can I don't feel shamed of myself?

We paid the money and they accepted without thank you,
I can read the alienation in their eyes. I avoided
eyes-to-eyes contact with them when I got into the car.
I hope they have a better life and get more respect what
they deserve to.
